The lost colony was a colony that we think died out. After two years they sent more people to the lost colony and everything was gone when they got there. On a gate post they found the word CROATOAN. We have not pinpointed if they died or moved somewhere else. They never saw the coloniest once they left.
Sir Walter Raleigh never step foot on our soil. The the capital is named after Sir Walter Raleigh because he started the exhbition. However the Queen would not let him go on the trip because they were at war with Spain. He was eager to find out the faith of the Lost Colony. He could not come and look for himself.
